For Today
Looking out my window... clearing with a blue sky after days of much needed rain
I am thinking... how things you thought would never change...simply do
I am thankful... for the really good books I have collected over the years. Pulling them off the shelf for some cozy October reading
One of my favorite things... is this view of the garden
I am creating... a large packing list for an upcoming week at the lake cabin with my beautiful daughters who are my best of friends!

I am watching... Anne of Green Gables, the entire series from start to finish
I am wearing... black capri pants, gray cami and gray tunic tee

I am reading... Zen And The Art of Quilting : finding peace through piecework
just beginning this little hardcover book that came in the mail on Saturday

I am listening to... nothing, windows are open and the glorious day is blowing in through the window...cleansing my spirit.
I am hoping... to get through this winter and out the other side in one piece with a new direction
I am learning... that for me, midlife is so much more than a span of years
In the kitchen... meals of sauteed brussel sprouts and chickpeas in olive oil, taco salad and roasted root veggies

ReplyDeleteLinda,
DeleteFinding peace has not been difficult, but hard things have met me of late.
Beautiful post. I'm hoping for some clarification and new direction this winter, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you...yes, to new direction and clarification.
DeleteI must have old categories or prompts...I'll have to update mine next time! Love reading this!
ReplyDeleteYes, I updated the prompts a bit and brought to everyone's attention the guidelines. Thank you!
DeleteThat photo at the end is exactly why I love autumn so much...blaze colored leaves against a sky so intensely blue.
ReplyDeleteYes, me too...those skies and colors of autumn! Priceless!
DeleteMissed doing this. Here in the Deep South (I'm in Louisiana), the cooler weather keeps finding us and then leaving again!
ReplyDeleteHello Chelle...glad to have you join us.
